Jeremy’s B-Day

My husband, Jeremy, has been very good husband for me, and the ideal father to our sons, Labron and Jamal. I believe that he belongs to the list of the best husband, at the same time, the best father in the world. And for being such, I would like to prepare a birthday party for him. It may not be the grandest, or the most luxurious party in the world, but I can assure my self that it is the best I can give for him.

The first thing I need to ponder on when preparing a birthday party for a husband is to review his personality. I need to list down what he likes, as well as what he hates. Jeremy loves to have a golf tournament and a drinking session. But since I’m only planning a simple house party, the golf thing is out. I don’t want to have broken windows around the neighborhood. Drinking session can still be considered, but heavy alcoholic drinks is definitely “no-no!” I don’t want that the party will end up dirty and rough. Mature men, like my husband, should already discern the pros and cons of too much alcohol consumption. So

Since my husband is a chef, the most difficult part in preparing his birthday party is on how to impress him with my own cooking. I’m not a good cook like him, but I can mix, blend, roast, fry, sauté, bake, roll, dice, and many more. I acquired my cooking abilities through experience and by just looking at him every time he prepares our dinner. I won’t consider catering services, because I believe that the best way to impress my man is through my own cooking. But how about asking him to cook instead? After all it is his birthday, and he needs to treat the ones he love, isn’t it? I’ll just take care of the home cleaning and arrangement instead (now, that’s one thing I’m already thinking about!).
